I would spray this one but not a fine spray letting the pesticide mix sink into the ground and use a tray to catch the runoff . Soil soak takes a long time use the runoff ...

Maybe you should forget about growing them in pots and plant them in the ground outside, at least the roots would stay cooler."

Re: Hana's cacti

I use bottom rubble which are mixed 20 mm-scoria and 10 mm-pumice. These materials are reused and so it is mixed scoria and pumice. These materials are washed and dried before reusing. The photo is reusing bottom rubble under drying.' That's what I do too. I reuse them too and have a screen to catch...

Re: Identifying my Mammillarias

I'd say this is rather M. rubrograndis" M. dehertiana holds seeds inside the plant body so if you get fruit popping out its not dehertiana

That's the plant n. 403, in bloom today." Also maybe M. perbella ?

Re: Lophophora Doctor

60% pumice/40% granite gravel mix like Steve shows and add ~ 20 % compost to this if you don't want to go hydroponic. That's what I do and Fertilize less often because I'm a little more lazy with fertilizer. Sand is useful for seedlings and re rooting cuttings which you may have to do ? Not straight...
