3 different kinds of pesticides. acetamiprid is like Imidacloprid which I've used as a soil soak and also watered in from above. In the Southern San Joaquin valley pull up Almond trees ( already happening) install solar panels. The ground is already cleared leave the true desert alone.

I use bottom rubble which are mixed 20 mm-scoria and 10 mm-pumice. These materials are reused and so it is mixed scoria and pumice. These materials are washed and dried before reusing. The photo is reusing bottom rubble under drying.' That's what I do too. I reuse them too and have a screen to catch...

Thanks KW Lots of good work to keep such a large collection in great shape . Goats to knock cactus about :D . They use herds of goats here to eat brush and keep it clear near buildings for fire prevention. They even eat poison Oak . No idea if they eat Opuntia which we have great fields of in the co...

60% pumice/40% granite gravel mix like Steve shows and add ~ 20 % compost to this if you don't want to go hydroponic. That's what I do and Fertilize less often because I'm a little more lazy with fertilizer. Sand is useful for seedlings and re rooting cuttings which you may have to do ? Not straight...

Hardgrown cactus should have more roots than Fast grown cactus, bigger spines. probably live longer too.

Made a video on root mealie bug , Actually I didn't make it I just did the mixing and explaining. Should be out soon ? Tobacco and soap and alcohol so when Imidacloprid fails it a fall back. Or you can just toss the plant but in the interest of the video I didn't do that will try and save it. You tu...
