Re: Cactus Album app
For those of you who collect plants other than cacti and succulents, or who have gardens you'd like to document, this week I've released a new iOS app called Plant Album. In addition to tracking plant details, watering schedules, and creating log entries, Plant Album also allows you to group plants ...

Re: Cactus Album app
Will: iaeen is correct. The latest iOS update that came out a few days ago also allows you to add multiple photos from your photo library at a time, rather than having to add them one at a time. You can also add text captions to each photo if there's anything you want to note for each one.

Re: Cactus Album app
Log entries are duplicated exactly, including any corresponding photos and plant linkage. If you're duplicating a plant, everything is copied to the duplicate except corresponding log entries. This is because the logs are meant to refer to particular events relating to an individual plant. Doesn't ...

Re: Cactus Album app
Duplicating entries will be in the Mac and PC versions. It's a good idea for iOS too, but I'll need to think how best to implement it. Maybe a long press on the item you want to duplicate? Syncing is not on the cards, alas. I've struggled with this for years, but I'm yet to find a decent and reliabl...

Re: Cactus Album app
I'm currently experimenting with Android and have plans to create an Android version of my Bonsai Album app. If that does well, you may well see an Android version of Cactus Album at some point ;) Since my previous post I've decided to work on Mac AND PC versions of Cactus Album. More about the new ...

Re: Cactus Album app
Over the years I've had requests for Mac or PC versions of Cactus Album. Would anyone here be interested in such an app, and if so, would you prefer Mac or Windows PC? Such an app would be similar to my Orchid Album Mac & PC apps, allowing database transfer to and from the iOS version. It would ...

Re: Andrew's cacti collection
The huge Tee Dee order arrived a few weeks back, and today I finally got around to taking a bunch of photos. Here are some group shots, for starters: Mar2014_Cacti_1Sm.jpg Mar2014_Cacti_2Sm.jpg I'll be posting the rest here as I get around to it. Meanwhile, the complete set is on my Flickr page .

Re: Andrew's cacti collection
Things have been pretty quiet in cactus-land here of late, but I did capture this little beauty flowering last month. This Neochilenia occulta flower didn't open more than this, but I was still pleased to get something flowering in the depths of this hellish winter. I added some orchids to the basem...

Very cool! You've got quite a few blooms in such a short space of time. Unusual for this time of year, or business as usual?
