Re: Sansevieria??

Hi Hendry, I think your in the right track. I showed the same pictures to a couple of 'experts' and they came to the same conclusion, one says its a lavranos while the other Ehrenberghii.

Thanks

Re: Sansevieria??

I;m pretty sure that the plant in question is not a Pinguicula, I have a pinguicula and it's not even close, here's a pic of my pinguicula. DSC_0476.jpg As you can notice that the ping's forms a rosette while the plant in question has a fan shaped growth. I can understand the confusion as I came to ...

Sansevieria??

Need help Id'ing this plant: DSC_0462.jpg DSC_0463.jpg Got this hitchhiker from a S. kismayo two (2) years ago in a club meet. At first I thought it was a baby kismayo but turned out different. It's a very slow grower, having grown all the leaves you see in two years, the two dried leaves at the bot...

Re: Gasteria

The leaf formation and flowers makes me think G. brachyphylla, except that your plant has fewer white spots.

Re: Baby mutant starfish plant

This has no significant odor.
The smell comes from the sap of the plant, when it is bruised or a leaf breaks off.

Re: Baby mutant starfish plant

I'm not convinced it is D. foetida (without question it is a Dorstenia though). It sure looks like D. foetida to me, D. foetida are quite variable in form, I have 3 different varieties/forms (4 if you count D. crispa as a variety of D. foetida). Oddly enough, I would be interested in the technical ...

Re: I'm confused

Could it be that the Spring flowering cactus was grafted onto a different species that was cut to have the same appearance as the Spring flowering cactus?
It sure looks like it is grafted on to a Hylocereus stock.

Re: need help on M. matanzanus

Sorry for the late response KNME, if you bought this plant from the Baguio growers then you should repot it as soon as possible -- they grow their plants in a medium composed of leaf mould and top soil, and in a very humid environment and somehow that works for them -- into a more inorganic/mineral ...
