Well they are not lithops. The seed is far too large, I dont think you will be able to tell until they get leaves.

I would use bright but diffuse light for seedlings. In the wild they generally germinate and hide in the shade of bigger plants. Pretty much like wild plants do outside here.

Mine does have the lighter coloured line. But chieridopsis or gibbaeum dont make side shoots.
Maybe they are not side shoots? Could then be cono bilobum.

It could be a number of things but it has the side shoots characteristic of antimima. Conos and Cheiridopsis generally mutiply from inside the sheath. Your plant has a slightly shorter cleft, but mesembs are sensitive to light conditions they can grow longer and thinner depending where they are.

Hi, Argies live on the west coast of SA which gets winter rainfall. It is in the opposite hemisphere but they are still active in winter in the west. Activity is triggered by shorter day length. They don't really grow in summer and become inactive. You might want to water once a month or so in high ...

Remember the argies are winter growers. They will become active in October dormant in april.
