Re: A beginner's guide to repotting newly-purchased cacti

I actually expected a response from you Spence. I knew i could count on you for truly valuable advice. I didn't think about a dehydrated cactus... All I could think of was waiting for spring to water a repotted cactus in a winter dormancy/rest. As always, thanks for the expert advice. Your assistanc...

Thank you Steve for making this post. I completely concur with this position. Member locations are in MY opinion absolutely necessary for efficient transmission of relevant information ... whether from the position of a question, OR from an answer point of view. Re: Anybody have a Stephania erecta craib?

If it's still dormant now, better wait till spring to wake it up. It HAD a shoot/branch (about 1in or so) when it was shipped, but the shoot died in the time it took to ship it, and broke off when i unpacked it. It was dry and dead. So i thought i would put it in my kitchen window in temperatures t...

Re: Pachypodium Baronii v. windsorii

On this way we hope to protect all endangered Pachypodium species. I am a pachypodium lover in the United States. Although I only have a few, they are among my favorite plants. And I am slack-jawed in regard to your collection AND your objective. You could push me over with a breath... SO beautiful...

Yes... with all due respect, I was curious about the choice of the word "Congregation"... and I quite agree with you on your alternative word choice.

Re: EUPHORBIA AMMAK PROBLEM ;/

I have a lovely EA and I just noticed this eve it’s getting what I think is rot at the base.... I have a couple of pics attached. Things I thought I was doing correctly.. -And I’ve only watered it twice in 2-3 months.. I immediately took it out of the pot to let it dry as it was moist to the touch ...

Anybody have a Stephania erecta craib?

I just got a Stephania erecta craib from Thailand, and am wondering if there anybody on the forum that has one or more of these and can give me some realistic personal-experience-based-advice on what I might do for its care. I'd post a picture, but it's just a brown golfball sized lump at this point...

Re: Should I give this to my cacti

Hi Mike! D. sylvatica and D. elephantipes are indeed two separate species. But the seeds that I bought are the hybridization of the two resulting in the name Discorea sylvatica x. elephantipes . Created for the purpose of obtaining a plant with what I have been told is "hybrid vigor". It h...

Yeah, you've got all kinds of wasted space there! :P How many of these "greens" plants do you think i could grow in 10 sq ft (2ft x 5ft... Remember?) Spence? Without sacrificing any space for stupid garbage-activities like walking? I'd be willing yo share the crop ... extensive as...
