If I were you, I'd graft it. If it were mine, I'd leave it on since, for me grafting is really "killing 2 plants at once".

Yeah Peter, Asiatica is nice. They often sell at local home & garden shows here in MD. They've accumulated a bit of my money over the past few years. They are a bit pricey....but they have some nice stuff you can't find this side of China.

I love the tephro's myself and have 1 T. alex... It has never sctually grown yet (in 2 years) - but it hasn't died yet either (so, I consider it a success!!!)

Can I ask where you got them as I would love to get both the "alex" and the "Maihu"

Darryl, whatever you do, <b>DO NOT</b> try to combine those two activities. It can get very uncomfortable. Lord knows you don't need glochids on any tender areas.... Like the time when I was a young'un and my brother REALLY pissed me off, so I rolled a bunch of Opuntias around in his underwear drawe...

scopa can have all sorts of different color spines.

As for the horstii....mine blooms a orangy-rust with a yellower center.. kinda like this:
