I lost an old super kabuto in this morning, which is sown on the photo. The cause of death is rotting bottom. Seed was sown on 24th August 2005 which means the cactus was almost 18 years old. Super kabuto is a small asterias but the cactus on the photo reached to 16 cm in diameter. I wished 20 year...

The grafting process of 3 off-sets was completed in this morning. Scions were: 1-azetkium valdezii 2-aztekium ritteri I failed grafting of one scion, ritteri. The photo is grafted off-set of valdezii. Will you degraft it later or it will continiue its life on another stock? As i know rooting Azteki...

Misting wont be efficient for the small seedlings, it seems you lose them from dehydration. Water them well, i think.

Once i had mealy bug problem with my plants both on bodies and roots, i found the solution to water plants with diluted imidacloprid.
I have never had any mealy bug problem since then.

My Mammillaria giselae seedlings flowered just in 8 months after i sowed the seeds.

The paper behind is 10 mm.
