Re: Mamillaria ID please
Thanks for your ideas guys. For now I'm going with Mammillaria voburnensis. My plant differs from descriptions and images I've seen of Escobaria missouriensis in that my plant has a more narrow funnel-shaped flower, in having dense wool between the tubercles, and in having newly formed brown spines ...

Mamillaria ID please
This is probably a pretty tall order considering the size and variety of the genus (not to mention the quality of the photo), but can anyone give me a possible ID for this plant. Thanks

Re: Succulent ID please
Thanks for the ID. By "starved" do you mean it's not getting enough light? Dave

Succulent ID please
I picked up this interesting little plant in the cactus/succulent section of a plant nursery. I have no idea what it could be. Any ideas? Thanks

Re: Stapelia macrocarpa or revoluta
Jangaudi: Thanks for your suggestions. Of the possibilities you listed, it looks like it could be either schneideriana or macrocarpa. I'm leaning towards schneideriana.

Stapelia macrocarpa or revoluta
When I acquired this plant, the label read Stapelia revoluta. After doing the research, it looks more like Stapelia (Huernia) macrocarpa. What do you think? Thanks

Echeveria pulvinata
Based on the fine hairs covering the leaves, can I assume this is Echeveria pulvinata, or one of its hybrids? Thanks Dave

Cactus ID
I was given this large cactus last week and I would like to know what it is. It's 17"H X 7"W. Could someone give me a name for it? Thanks.

Re: Euphorbia ID
I went to the page of images for greenwoodii for confirmation of the ID. There were images for greenwoodii but also references to greenwayi which looked like my plant. I went to The Plant List and there was no reference for greenwoodii, but there was for greenwayi. I haven't seen anywhere where thes...

Re: Euphorbia ID
Thanks for the help. I agree with greenwoodii. I've got aeruginosa and, while it looks like they could be related, this one looks different.

Problem with posting images
I've tried several times to post two images to this forum and I get an error message saying the files are too large. They've been resized to 1024 x 768 so I'm not sure what the problem is. I've posted images several times before without a hitch. Any ideas? wuness

Re: How to resize your photos BEFORE posting
I've tried several times to attached two images to a new post in Succulent ID. They have been resized to 1024 x 768, but an error message comes up that the files are too big. I've done this successfully 6-8 times before. What am I missing. Thanks. Dave

Re: Echeveria??
The short answer is that I don't know succulents nearly as well as I know orchids. Thanks for the ID. It looks like the hybrid called 'Kiwi.'
