Re: A collection of Haworthias to ID
Thanks jfabiao obrigado 1 and 2 are not the same plant, I mean, they came to me from different ways, and I do have the same impression: that they are of the same species. But they grow differently, even the lateral buds when repotted looks like the mother plant. #1 is much more robust and fat. 12 it...

Re: A collection of Haworthias to ID
Thanks Teo. 7 and 9 are quite different. wouldn't be 7 reinwardtii and 9 coarctata? Tracking "black gem" I found: Aloe 'black gem', Alworthia 'black gem' (a hybrid between Haworthia cymbiformis & Aloe speciosa) and Haworthia pentagona. It is hard to know for sure, but in my opinion it ...

Re: Mammillaria from AZ
I'm not able to differentiate Mammillaria grahamii/mammillaria microcarpa from Mammillaria mazatlanensis.
Maybe next time it blooms I try a better pic to post here
Anyway, the flowers of mine are of different colors.
Mine was recently bought in a supermarket...

Re: So I decided to sow
Another update 15 after sowing and all but one species (Delosperma bosseranum) germinated. They are receiving good sun now, from 10 a.m. to 15 p.m. They are doing fine, I think. Re: So I decided to sow
You should cover the cacti, certainly until they germinate, but keep them out of the sun. You don't want the small seedlings in direct sun anyway. They grow best in warm, bright shade, and high humidity. Maybe that describes your normal weather? Long stems on mesemb seedlings, assuming they really ...
