Re: The windowsill adventure of my seeds

Thank you for your kind words Robb. I keep most of my seedlings under growlight, with heat mat underneath and light fertilization every watering. That's probably why they are all fat and spoiled.

Re: Rooted an offset outside!

Unless these are variegated with occasional streaks of green, wouldn't they still eventually succumb to starvation without chlorophyll? Sorry, didn't mean to be a downer, but I'm curious wether this is actually possible.

Long time no talk CactiGuide, here's a July update on the Pygmaeocereus bieblii , with mounting anticipation... I had some trouble getting everything in focus, perhaps I shouldn't use a macro lens http://i.imgur.com/nplzfpc.jpg close up to one of the buds, it said no to wax... http://i.imgur.com/Nag...

It took a while but my mature lithops have finally completed leaf change. Two of them have divided, adding two more plants to the pot :D

Very nice Steve. Nearly all echinocereus have outstanding flowers, this one is no exception.

here's a specimen at the local annual show with 3 buds.

Re: A poor college student's growing journal

Thank you Harald and K.W. for your kind words. Also, if you do not have a huge collection, like KB, Handazo, etc. it is very hard to show continually different plants. :) It's okay, it's only a matter of time that I acquire their entire collections, once they are retired...  :mrgr...
