Re: Degrafting-2

So, even if i try, no way i am going to succeed degrafting or growing from seed from its own roots?
Well, thats a bummer.

Re: Special cactus germination practices

Somewhat somewhat soak for 24 hours, expect seedling in couple of months. Needless to say, ive tried out most of them. This time
- ill try to perforate one of the seeds
- soak it for longer that 24 hours
- leave it in the outside to germinate
- soak it in willow tea.

Ordering seeds -Again

For my 2 final orders(again , im in europe) im thinking of getting some gymnocalycium, oreocereus, and others from kakteen.cz or from succseed.
Need advice for flashy gymnocalciums
And whether i should get trolli or celsianus.

Re: Special cactus germination practices

Tried germinating it. Not from a reliable source, but it didnt work anyway. Now i find out there was a quirk to it too.
pretty certain now that pandanus has a similar twist too.

Re: Degrafting-2

Thats the topic that got me wondering. Though all grafts on that topic are cacteae members.
If the exact rules applied for "southies" i wouldnt have had difficulty growing them in the first place

You just about can't kill these things- if you have them flower- they should die naturally

Re: Full sun vs Shade cloth

Clearly there is a diffrence. It seems cacti mature more easily/ at a smaller size in full sun. suppose you think this might be funny, but its possible the plant considers it as an obstruction that could stop bats from pollinating it. In addition, the full sun one is fuzzier- needed more protection.

Re: "Wilted" Sedum

Discard the plant. Avoid watering your plants for a while, use whatever fungicide is adequate for the soil.
