Conny wants to try out flowering
Hello folks, in July 2021 you helped me to identify a Selenicereus cutling, see https://cactiguide.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=388634. This year already the Selenicereus coniflorus aka "Conny" is building at least three buds. If will actually flower, I will add pictures here. Can't wait... 8...

Re: I am 45.If it is late to sow Ariocarpus seeds?
Hello folks, everywhere in the world, people are terribly fast-moving & always want everything IMMEDIATELY. It is very relaxing & refreshing to me to read your posts where you discuss without pressure that cacti sown today might flower in ten years time. Hooray! =D> I think I am back to the ...

pulvinata? Hi Anttisepp, I have looked at loads of further Eu.pulvinata. They seem to be very varying, come with loads of leaves or much less so, but they all have common the looks from the top & in 99% or so htey all have seven ribs. I think you were right after all. Oh, and don't miss this fr...

Re: Aloe roeoeslii
Thank you for sharing. Without the name tag & at first glance I had thought this might be an Aloe vera.
Are you an Aloe buff?
What is the specialty of this species, please? Curious minds wanna know.
Good luck with your nice kindergarten.

Re: Cacti & Succulents - Botanical Garden - Liège - Belgium
Hello Ohugal, thank you for posting those interesting & great pictures. Somehow they are very touching -- more so than pictures from a perfect park with perfect, "polished" plants. They really make use of every possible space, don't they? I like the scattered light in those greenhouses...

Re: Cactus ID: 7 years seed grown
Hello Dave,
that is a real good picture you added here, & a good description. I learned a lot from it. Besides those are wonderful plants!
Where do you keep them with all that bubble foil around, is this a kind of "provisorium glass house"?
Thank you,
Nachtkrabb

Re: Help identifying please!
Hello Cactusnewbie98, your description with counting the spines & telling about their colouration is very good. Wouldn't expect Pilosocereus pachycladus as those are quite wooly around the spines. There are many cacti with a blueish-greyish skin. When I was here in the forum for a wile, one guy ...

Hello Tadacacti, sorry, your name is not clear to me, never heard it. For clarification see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Pedro_cactus: San Pedro cactus may refer to several species or infraspecies of cactus potentially containing mescaline, particularly: Trichocereus macrogonus var. pachanoi, s...

Re: Euphorbia who?
...hmmm... looked at some pictures: pulvinata has loads of leaves, this one hasn't. The leaves visible belong to it's neighbour, a Eu. cv. Cocklebur. So, definitely no. pillansii : Do they have such explicit slender columns with a ball at the end...? Couldn't see that in the pictures available. Othe...
