Pleiospilus nelii growing help
I was at a local shop today where they had a few pleiospilus displayed and of course, I had to give in. I brought home a 2.5 inch pot with a 4 leaved, nice condition nelii. I would like to get some advice regarding repotting and soil/water. My location is Canada. 1. What are your thoughts on best po...

Re: How to resize your photos BEFORE posting
In Windows 7 and later, "Paint" is included as an editor. Pull your picture up and right click on the picture and open it with paint where you can quickly resize and reorient your pics - and then save them as a new file. It was called paintbrush before Win 7- I am most familiar and use pai...

Re: Old members

Re: Plant leaves rolling inwards
Thanks, I'll increase the watering a little - temperature in the room is around 21 degrees C (70 F) with humidity in the house (dry) varying from 20-25% at this time of year due (November to April) to central heating in the house - that changes to 40-45% in the spring and summer months. Would some s...

Plant leaves rolling inwards
Sorry for the quality of the pic - any ideas why the leaves on the middle plant (aloe?? can you confirm ID) are curling inward from the sides?? Planted in a gritty soil, watering is every 3-4 weeks since November (Canadian winter). Light is diffused with no direct sunlight. Does it need more water? ...

Re: ID help for new member
Well coldcactusmontreal, that sure looks like a match- I would have never guessed aloe but from what I can see , pretty big genus with a large species count. Thanks for the ID, helps me out. Keep warm in Montreal - you're down low on the thermometer with us in Ottawa !! But the days are getting long...

ID help for new member
Hello to all on CG - I am new to the site. I am located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada - where today the weather is a nasty -40C - for those in the US that's a truly miserable -40F - not life friendly to mammal or plant life. I am returning to collecting succ and cacti after a very long absence - the la...
