"G. denudatum to me, though I do not know the extent of hybridization of these taxa in cultivation." Bear in mind the owner live in nova scotia- so in all likelyhood a plant of that age and size is from a wholesale nursery- and that a lot of these requests are wholesale plants that have be...

Re: Full sun vs Shade cloth
Thats true- but im speaking out of experience where , though placed at the same time, grown in the same conditions in winter, the stenocereus just went purple, while the cereus and neoraimonidia were defaced in an instant- i think its got something do with initial glausense- the latter were not heav...

Re: Full sun vs Shade cloth
Not all are susceptible - Some are more resistant than others
- Stenocereus (griseus turns purple, then stops, others have no change)
-Pilosocereus
- Ferocactus with proper acclimation
-Opuntias are almost immune
-Pachycereus is not affected
Could be others, but im sure for those at least

Re: Must Cut, Rotting. 1st time, many questions
First off all, if you want highest chance of success , you have to cut it in as bigger pieces as possible. Second, if you are cutting it, make sure the center of it is healthy not like this one(rot) http://cactiguide.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=39973- it needs to look like this https://www.dmt...
