I went to see this in bloom up-close and personal. Charles told me Bill collected it in Kansas. He found it growing along a pasture fence line. Given just that little bit of information, I lean toward var. radiosa it certainly doesn't look like var. vivpara. In any event it is much nicer to look at ...

I thought they had to be E. vivpara they are very nice clusters! Do you know the origin of the clone. I like look of it! Spiny, low and clustering. I must say it is one of the nicest I've seen!
