Re: How to post a LARGE image

Does anyone know if I can post photos like this directly from Google Photos?

This cactus showed up as my auto background in Windows the other day. It looks a little like a Carnegia if you discount the flower.

What is this?

I saw this in one of those bowls of various cacti that the sell in grocery stores or whatever. The two tall skinny ones I'm not sure about. What do you think?

Why does this Rhipsalis look sad?

It was unrooted and reported about a month ago. I think it's getting the right amount of sun, and maybe a little over-watered, but nothing serious. I can't figure out why it would be this droopy. Is this species naturally droopy? Anyone have any suggestion as to what I can try next?

Re: Opuntia ficus-indica and O. tuna

Well, carrying produce from Oregon into California is illegal, even though everyone I know does it all the time, so just to be a good boyscout I think I'll avoid doing that. I did happen to get some O. tuna fruit at a bodega in Redding, CA this morning. I'm pretty excited about propagating them.

The Peruvians looks like scale to me. I would scrub all the white flecks off and then spray rubbing alcohol all over it.

Re: cacti newbie needs help with sick plant please!

I would take it to an area that gets shade through part of the day, like on a porch or next to a tree. I don't think taking it indoors is necessary. What is the climate like where you live?

I already checked. I don't live in the right region for grocery stores to carry them. :(
