These plants have adapted to full sun and I plan to plant them in "the small garden" next weekend (except lithops which I'll place next to "garden" stay in pots with existing cat protection cover).

Re: looking for Coleocephalocereus purpureus
Anyone know where I could get Coleocephalocereus purpureus seeds or a plant? I have been looking for a while with no luck. I did finally buy some seed off Ebay from a seller that did not have stellar feedback. Needless to say, none germinated. I have C. aureus and would really like to find C. purpu...

Re: vitt13's grafts
I had six mature Adeniums obesum, four ordinary 'Pink', one 'pink-and-yellow' cultivar and one 'rosa-like' cultivar. Lost one from rot and one given away as a birthday gift, so now I have only four. Rootstocks in 15 Feb 2020. https://i.ibb.co/TYZp55y/DSC09246.jpg Scion was early grafted branch that ...

Re: adenium pruning and root growth question
It's maybe 12 years old with no branching in sight. There is an experience using cytokinin paste to wake up sleeping buds, so it can be applied to sleeping buds in sight. Based on practice, do not use the paste on more than 2-3 buds. If 4 or more buds are treated, the plant is likely to give growth...

Re: Acanthocalycium glaucum flower
Here is mine one. It grafted on Pereskiopsis stock and has ugly stem. I guess it's self-sterile so it had not produced fruits and seeds being flowering alone. https://i.ibb.co/jMB734b/DSC09810.jpg https://i.ibb.co/tx016Tz/DSC09840.jpg https://i.ibb.co/z4F802r/DSC09844.jpg https://i.ibb.co/7CCTGQs/DS...

Re: Can you graft any non cactus succulents to a cactus?
I remember a member here successfully grafting a Portulaca grandiflora to a Pereskiopsis. I did it for fun. It was short-lived as a scion. Just for fun :-D Portulaca grandiflora f. albiflora grafted on Pereskiopsis stem. It had bloom later a few times, but live just few month. https://i.ibb.co/zx0x...

Re: grow lights for lithops?
I agree, white LEDs are best choice. I had an experience on growing lithopses under red-blue LEDs and I use now warm white LEDs and few red-blue LEDs not only for lithopses but for other succulents and cacti that may need additional light. More info about LED lights I post here https://www.cactiguid...

Re: vitt13's small summer garden
We still have abnormal cold nights (not higher than 12 Celsius) but dry May, for today... Today is heavy rain day. I made two placement zones for old cacti and young ones. First (higher) zone has already planted with old cacti. The young cacti and succulents are still in 'greenhouse' and do not adap...

Re: vitt13's small summer garden
Hello, what a nice cactus garden! What country are you from? Do you plan to leave them outdoors all year round or to dig them in autumn? anttisepp , Pereskiopsisdotcom , Thank you for your positive feedback! Actually I'm from south of Russia. I dug them (except O. humifusa) in autumn, potted back a...
