Re: Cacti for sale in Europe/Scandinavia- were do they come from?
I'm sure Aiko is correct, in that most of the cacti sold from the Netherlands may be raised in the Canary isles (or also mainland Spain), but I'd bet there is at least some large-scale production in the Netherlands.

Re: Cacti for sale in Europe/Scandinavia- were do they come from?
The Netherlands has large and extremely efficient greenhouse production of a huge range of plants and flowers for sale and food production. The big areas of grey rectangles are all commercial greenhouses: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Nieuwveens+Jaagpad+91,+2441+GA+Nieuwveen,+Netherlands/@52.225...

Crassula falcata, maybe? A.k.a. : Crassula perfoliata var. minor.
Normally bluer and more compact, if grown in strong light.

Re: parodia werneri possibly?
Am I close? Yes, I think you are. If it's not P. werneri, it's a very similar looking species. Flowers next year will help the id, as ever. Gymno. baldianum tends to have a naked crown with more angular tubercles, the Parodia crown has a lot of white wool/felt on the new areoles and rounded bumps.

Re: Any idea what this is
Opuntia subulata is perhaps more likely than (Austrocylindr)opuntia vestita. They look similar and need similar conditions. It needs more light (less heat may help too). The main stem looks in a bad way. Is it rotting (e.g. soft and squishy)? If so, it's been overwatered and you will need to take cu...

Cristate forms will have lots more ribs than normal, there’s no point in using rib counts for an id in this case

Something like Pachyphytum compactum cristata.
There's a Graptosedum that looks a bit similar, but I think the Pachyphtum may be closer

Re: Looking for Pelecyphora aselliformis
Are you sure you have searched well? These should be very easy to find, I think. Agreed. Maybe not very easy to find, but not too hard. Try here: https://www.kakteen-haage.de/en/seeds/seeds-cacti/Pelecyphora/ These are fairly expensive, so they probably don't sell out very quickly. I ordered some f...
Re: llifle
llifle is good. I have noticed that cactus art seems to have the same pictures and text sometimes as llifle. So I an not sure who is coping who. I have also tried 6 times now to contact them to contribute pictures and have been ignored so far. These sites originate from the Cactus Art nursery http:...

Re: Looking for aloe (kumara) plicatilis seeds
I managed to find two sellers from Europe, bought from both of them but no luck so far. Aloes are rather fast germinators Agree, most of them are in my experience, but A. plicatilis hasn't been, as mentioned, and A. sakarahensis did nothing for 3 months, then I dried them out and started again and ...

Re: Looking for aloe (kumara) plicatilis seeds
Love it since the first time seeing it online. This plant is not readily available in my country, so I have been trying to find seeds. I managed to find two sellers from Europe, bought from both of them but no luck so far. As tree aloe I believe the plant is able to produce abundant flowers (and se...

Check out Austrocylindropuntia subulata - young plants often don't have any / many spines.
Or maybe one of the other Austrocylindropuntias.
