These plants are really taking off with many buds and blooms. Here is a developing seed pod from the first bloom this year. :) Tony

Its a great plant, I love the smell of the flowers. Its cousin D metal has flowers that smell like a fine perfume.

I wonder if this is the plant I see growing all along our highways down here? Flower and leaves look simular. :-k

Neat plant. The seed pod almost looks like a black widow egg sack.

Well, it's poisonous, so the Black Widow thing may be appropriate. :D I remember my mother telling me scare stories about these plants when I was a kid, so I wouldn't be tempted to try and eat one or something equally silly. They grew all over the southern Utah desert where I grew up. Very pretty plants!

Yes, definitely poisonous, if you eat a few seeds from that pod youll trip your face off, in a bad way. Not a floaty happy mushroom or LSD type trip, but rather full on terror.

Dont eat the ornamentals!

these plants are grown by my sister here in south dakota. she calls them moon flowers because of their huge size.
