Edithcolea flowers!!

Post by stanislas »

My two larger Edithcolea plants have flowers!
They are in the incubator under artificial lightning, with daytime temperature 42°C/108°F and night temperatures around 20°C/68°F.
They are in non-organic soil kept constantly moist. Once every 3 weeks they are given some fertilizer (cactus/succulent fert.). They grow like weed (2cm/month at least).
I couldn't resist showing you their beauty:

To give you all an idea about the possible growth that can be achieved with Edithcolea grandis in 7 months (2 euro coin, 1 inch diameter): Image

I've never seen a flower like that. The patterning on it is beautiful! :)

Absolutely amazing! And that seems to be quite a growing regimen you have for them.
