Hi Christer
This was the first year of my sowing and there wasn´t a flower on the Eriosyce seedlings yet.
In general it takes 3-5 years from seed to flower in the Thelocephala species so I learned.
It may depend on the cultivational methods too, I guess- if they are nourished well they may flower earlier ( but may look more unatural).
So I will be patient for one or two more years.

Yes, they should be grown "hard" to get a natural look. 3-5 years, that's good to knowJens wrote:Hi Christer

Yes, I have from two different seed suppliers, Ricardo and Mats. It will be interesting to compare this two.Jens wrote:Hello Christer,
great species that you show here.
The E. occulta seedlings can be quite spiny when young! Some of them semed to have lost the long spination after one year here.
That's the fun part in grafting seedlings; you can study them when they grow to maturity very fast
And they are easier to picture in closeup
