sowing lithops seeds

Does anyone know why lithops seeds take a month to germinate? if you do please let me know that would be much appreciated.

Answer #1. They don't, they take about a week.
Answer #2. Its too cold for them.
Answer #3. They may be extremely fresh or extremely old.
Answer #4. Shh, not a cactus ;)
