Re: Wanted Schlumbergera opuntioides
That's one of the most sought after cacti that Mesagarden actually doesn't have!
I did find a source though:

A cactus and succulent collector who especially likes Ariocarpus. …Though I have a bit of everything! Want some pictures? See my flickr! I also do art and such.

Talk about a "hot" item. I just went to your link, Gemhunter, & says "currently not available"! Someone posted a pic on a diff. Forum mid-Winter & it got my attention!
Once bitten by the cactus collecting/growing bug, there is no known cure!
There's no 12 step programme for Cactaholics...so I shall just have to get some more!!

Yeah I realized that, but it's actually the ONLY source I had, it wasn't unavailable at one point though.

Re: Wanted Schlumbergera opuntioides
it's a very hard Schlumbergera to find. when I had money I looked for one too. It's worth the 30 bucks!
Here's to you, all you insidious creatures of green..er I mean cacti.
Re: Wanted Schlumbergera opuntioides
I had bought one a couple years ago on eBay (none there now though). The seller had a pretty small plant for a very high price so I split it with someone else. Both of us lost it to spider mites. Before I mine got hit and I lost it, I had sent someone else a good size cutting in a trade but they too lost it to spidermites too. So, Check eBay periodically, but keep an eye on it for Spidermites.
I wasn't raised a Cactolic but converted to Cactolicism later in life
