I just heard some sad news, our friend Suleyman Demir has passed away on April 7, 2012.

Ahh man, that is so sad. Aside from the above comments on his very friendly nature and growing skills, he did contribute a lot to this site:

Very sad indeeed , I too did find a lot of his cacti photos when searching in the net. It also brings to my mind again just how short lived our cactus hobby can be, without the constant care of the collector.
Süleyman Demir may your soul rest in peace.
