I made a purchase for these 3 little cactus.
Still new, I am curious on what species it is, and how do i take care of it.

From left to right:
1) Parodia, maybe magnifica or warasii
2) Haworthia, probably attenuata
3) Mammillaria elongata

On the left, parodia magnifica. Just a wild guess because its so small, closer pics might help.
Center looks like haworthia attenuata.
Right is mammillaria elongata.

Re: 3 Cactus i purchased from Ikea
thanks for the quick response!
I notice that the Haworthia tips, some of it are beginning to turn brown, like dying. Is that because there's too much sunlight?
I leave all 3 by the window side all day.
Would appreciate if you could guide me on how can these be taken care of. and is water a must?

This type of Haworthia does tend to get dry tips. You can reduce this by giving a little shade during the middle of the day and watering lightly but regularly. The dry tips aren't harmful but they can be unsightly.

Definitely unsightly! Haha!
Will the tip just drop of and grow a new one?

No, once the tip is gone from that particular leaf it is gone forever. The plant will continue to grow however, and the new leaves will have their tips and should keep them if the conditions are improved. The dead tips will be less noticeable once enough of the new leaves are produced.
Also, just to clarify, the Haworthia is not a cactus. The care is pretty much the same though.
I'm now selling plants on Ebay. Check it out! Kyle's Plants
Re: 3 Cactus i purchased from Ikea
If you took the pot out of the store and put it on a south-facing window, too much sun is a possibility. In that case, it can scars the plant. It's better for the plant to increase sun exposure gradually.Deathency wrote:thanks for the quick response!

If the leaves dry out, it may only be thirsty. These plants are often sold in pure peat (don't know about Ikea's soil mix though) and the root/peat ball can get pretty dry and solid.
In that case, it can be hard to rewet the whole thing and the roots don't get the water they need. Instead, water only runs down the sides of the pot and through drainage holes.
Even if this particular plant is not a cactus, read this http://cactiguide.com/growcacti/. It should get you started.
