Got Shade?

Post by tumamoc »

B and B's Cactus Farm does, and lots of it. Check out their new gigantic shade structure, put in some time over the winter. For those that have been there, you will recall that the outdoor area used to have several smaller shade structures set up in rows. The new set up really changes the look of their outdoor retail area. I'd like to do something similar one of these days (although much smaller, obviously).

That thing is awesome! It was sometime in the fall...I was there in November and drooled over it. Not sure why they made it so tall...I guess they're going to grow some larger show-off specimen plants in there?

Probably it is so they can easily get trucks and equipment under there.

Wow! Big bucks to build that!
Also, by having it taller actually increases the light, kinda making the cloth seem a bit less shady.

Looks to be of very nice quality too. If I remember, the old structures were hoop houses and mostly filled with aloes and various non-cactus succulents.
All Cacti are succulents, but not all succulents are Cacti
