Cactus fun-Growing Children and a growing cactus

My dear wife saw the growth on one of my acanthocereus and commented that she wished my little son would grow as fast.
I did a small check and found that she was quite correct the cereus has shot up a branch of 39 cms out of total 153 cms height in just 1 month. Imagine in 12 months if this fellow can maintain the pace.

But I think maybe further progress on the cacti front will be limited due to the pot size.
For the son of course there is a long way to go.
