Interesting a Galapagos Opuntia. Actually no Galapagos material, seeds or plant parts are now allowed to be collected by tourists in case they are spread from one island to the other since as Darwin showed each island has it's own distinct flora which developed in isolation from the other islands. Therefore the Ecuadorian's do not officially allow any material out of the islands. However I am sure many tourists must pick seeds etc up. :wink: I enquired from the Darwin Institute on the Galapagos a few years ago if they published a seed list and was told even they are not permitted to do so since material is not allowed out for the above reason. There was a good article on the Galapagos Opuntia's in the American Journal many decades ago.
