I've been busy doing a lot of grafting lately, partly thanks to my new propagation setup with a proper propagator that is heated by a heating mat. Them peresks go crazy inside of that thing! The only issue is that the stock plants are putting out thinner shoots than they did before I put them inside so mostly just graft on rooted cuttings from grafting stock tips. I have quite a few new grafts that I have done since I last updated and I will share those when I get to them, but this thread will be used to document my grafts from this day onward. Here is a pic of my current pereskiopsis propagation setup:
I've also done grafts on Selenicereus and Schulmberga as well. Let the grafting games begin!

Re: Driller's grafting log 2016
Since I recently received and germinated a few much needed Aztekium ritteri seeds, I grafted a bunch of the few day old seedlings to some healthy pereskiopsis that were a little thin. I will update when I think they have healed.

Re: Driller's grafting log 2016
Update. I believe I got one of the A. ritteri grafts to take because the seedling haven't shriveled and the callous looks nice and mature. I'm in the process of slowly acclimating it to the outside world by unscrewing the cap on the juice container I'm using as a humidity chamber. Also I got an Ariocarpus cv. godzilla to take Here is a picture of that:
I never take pictures of grafts until I'm sure they've taken because it will be disappointing to see pictures of them if they don't. Call it a strange quirk, but I never do it anymore

Re: Driller's grafting log 2016
Another fall graft, this time though it is my first adult cactus graft! It is a peresk regraft, the species is Astrophytum myriostigma cv kikko. I left a little bit behind on the pereskiopsis since the plant had more than one head. Stock is T. pachanoi.
An Ariocarpus hybrid scion that is also a peresk regraft. The rubber bands will be removed tomorrow.
