ElieEstephane, In a good year, E. dasyacanthus plants with multiple stems can produce 20 or more flowers. It's absolutely stunning.

I have seen a lot of Echinocereus dasyacanthus within 100 miles of where I live. The color ranges from pale yellow-white to bright, deep yellow here.
I have yet to see a plant that produces orange-yellow flowers or pink ones near here. However, I do know, that those color variants do exist.
Thank you for posting these photos. I have not yet had the chance to visit the Big Bend area, but there are a few interesting and rare cacti to be photographed there, including one of my favorites: Ariocarpus fissuratus.
