Yucca ID request...
I'm thinking it's either nana or Harriman's. The car key is for scale and is about 18" up from the leaves. The globe of leaves is noticeably smaller than a basketball, but bigger than a cantaloupe. What I can't discern is the effect of locale and soil's build on growth. Obviously, the "hard life stunted plant factor" is a variable, but most Yucca I've seen are much over a foot in diameter with 5-6 foot stalks. This was growing around basalt on powdery fine sandy soil with low annual rainfall between 7-9 inches and 6,000' ASL.

Are you sure it's a Yucca? It looks kinda like Agave Filifera/Parviflora.
