When to repot?

Post by Mark »

Hi y’all!

So I’ve been repotting my plants these past months but now it’s getting hotter. Should I hold of on repotting till the fall?

Many of the plants have been in that soil for a good couple of years. I’m also putting my repotted plants under the shade, so not sure if I should pause for the summer time.

I’m in zone 8A.

Thanks :)

I don’t like to take time away from active season, but they don’t seem to mind otherwise.

I repotted a few this week and last ( our weather is warming up ) and it was nice to see fresh new rootlets. Gentle care with the new root growth and into a more permanent container rather than the black plastic nursery pots which heat up tremendously in our high altitude climate sun. Outdoors. I'm at 4500' ASL.

Interesting! I think I will repot for those extreme cases right now since it’s hot.

When should I repot Ariocarpus?
