Cleistocactus variety??
Cleistocactus variety??
Hard to tell in the photos but some of the limbs are almost 3” in diameter and have a deep brown base. I don’t think this is a typical Cleistocactus winteri but maybe a variety? Please help identify.

Haageocereus, perhaps H. pseudomelanostele.

Re: Cleistocactus variety??
OK, yes, that makes a difference! Borzicactus icosagonus (aka Cleistocactus, Seticereus)
Re: Cleistocactus variety??
A closeup of the flowers would help. As Phil says from a distance they look Borzicactus type?

phil-SK is correct. Specifically, this is Borzicactus icosagonus ssp humboltii.

and thank you for the help!
Re: Cleistocactus variety??
Yes a Borzicactus flower not Cleistocactus sensu stricto or Haageocereus. B. humboltii is often listed as a variety of B. icosagonus, or just sunk into synonymy under it. Dumped with a lot of others genera under Cleistocactus in The New Cactus Lexicon, but Borzicactus resurrected by Joel Lode' I think in his later work.
