Hello from Seville, I would like to know the species of these 2 cacti
the 1 I think it is echinocereus, perhaps ctenoides, what do you think?
the 2 looks like hamatocactus, at first I thought it was Hamatocactus sinuatus v. flavispinus but I already have one and it doesn't have as many radial spines.

Looks like M. zeilmanniiana with yellow spines but might be something different as Mammillaria marcosii or other.
If your cacti mess in your job just forget about the job.

You're right George, looks like zeilmanniana with painted yellow spines. We have to wait until new growth will show us true color of spines.
As for me I don't remember same species with hooks and canary-yellow radial spines...

That was exactly what I thought, and couldn't then identify the species.
Yes, Antti, maybe that's it. A painted Mamm. z.

What do you think that 1 is Echinocereus reichenbachii var. baileyi?

This can be also E. pectinatus or viridiflorus.arturo conan wrote: ↑Tue Feb 02, 2021 7:58 pm What do you think that 1 is Echinocereus reichenbachii var. baileyi?

THANK YOU all for the inconvenience.
We then agree that 1 is Echinocereus ctenoides if the flowers are yellow or pink, or Echinocereus reichenbachii subsp. baileyi if the flowers are purple.
As for the mammillaria, we leave it in zeilmanniana with painted yellow spines. Do you agree?

Yes, or at last pectinatus.
E. reichenbachii is tinier IMHO.
