Possible Parodia
Possible Parodia
This is the only survivor from my last seed sowing some years ago now. It was a mixed batch of seeds I received in a trade if I remember correctly. I always assumed it was a mamm but taking the time today to actually try to id it I'm now leaning towards it being a parodia. I think the body shape and spination led me to think mamm at first but the flowers never seemed right for one. But I'm not all too familiar with globular cacti. I tend to collect columnars I have no room for ![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

Re: Possible Parodia
Agreed, Notocactus schlosseri (syn. Parodia erubescens). Pretty easy to grow from seed - I keep getting volunteers in the pots around mine, which have a high rate of survival without any special care.
