is it ok for newly grafted cactus to hibernate

Post by ryagiz55 »

I grafted my cactus (columnar cactus or san pedro I don't know exactly) with opuntia subulata a week ago, now it's getting cold, can I take it outside?

If the graft has not yet taken, it may not take at all if the rootstock and scion go dormant. If the days are still warm it's probably ok to leave outside, but I would take them in every night.
