G'day Bryan,
Did you get the seeds from Astrophytum myriostigma cv. Onzuka X Fukuryu?
Although it was just 19 seeds, I could get hybrid seeds.
These seeds were sown on 7th in this month. The germination is nil at the moment.

You're lucky to own Aztekium valdezii . I haven't seen seeds or plants available unless you contact some of the Czech growers, and then you need to be prepared for astronomical prices. I was reading on a German web site the other day that in it's native habitat the local people had been snorting this species dried and chopped up to relieve migraine headaches and other maladies for many years before it was discovered by the Czechs.

G'morning Tom,
You're lucky to own Aztekium valdezii.
My friend gave me a grafted one some years ago, which one was shown on the photo.
I did not know where the cactus came from but I assumed he had more because he gave me one for free.
As you can see on the photo, there is an off-set. I will remove it and graft soon.
