So it looks like the door is changed after the outer starting fire is finished? It looks like some type of door is placed over the kiln and the bottom is cemented up?

What about the cracks in the kiln seen in the second photo? Significant?

There are two openings at the back end of the kiln, at least that is what it appears like. What are they?

Would you try one day to arrange all those in a village with plants inside and some dwarfs in between?
Sounds like a life-time project, ha?
If your cacti mess in your job just forget about the job.
