Hi,
I've come across this cute looking cactus at a local supermarket. I thought it could be a mammillaria just because of the shape of the tubercles. The spines and the location of the dried up old flowers (looks like they were forming from new growth at the top) tell me its most likely a coryphantha.
I've tried looking through many photos to ID this cactus but I might be overlooking because many of them have light spines and this has very dark spines, with the lighter parts grey in colour.
I could be wrong with my observations... which is why i need help.
Its currently been repotted into a 2/3inch pot which should give a rough idea of how big it is.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Mammillaria/coryphantha ID
How big ? Obviously you don't mean to say it is in a 2/3 inch pot! My thumb is 2/3 inch wide. From the photo I would make a wild guess that it is a four inch pot.

Thank you anttisep!
Loyall, its most definally in a 2.5inch wide pot, just measured it. It's very small.

Re: Mammillaria/coryphantha ID
Well OK. A 2.5 inch pot makes sense. A 0.666 (2/3)inch pot would be absurd.

I only just relised that I typed out 2 3rds rather than 2 or 3. I can see your confusion now! haha
