Two Parodia and ?Cleistocactus

Post by dmcac »

Hello! Cacti number 1 and 2 were sold as Parodia haselbergii. I noticed the differences in density and number of the spines and bought both. Could anyone please confirm if they are both P. haselbergii. Cactus number 3 was bought without any genus/species id. I would guess it is a young Cleistocactus strausii. As always I will greatly appreciate any opinions and help! Thanks, DM

2 is not P. haselbergii. Maybe Parodia concinna? Particularly the form that used to be known as Notocactus agnetae (which has either been reduced to subspecies of or fully synonymized with Parodia concinna.)
