ID for 4 spiny ones
ID for 4 spiny ones
Hi! Could somebody help me with the genera of these individuals? They grow in 9 (1), 7 (2) and 5 (3&4) cm pots, and number 3 has still visible cotyledons at the base. I'm still a beginner in growing cacti, find the columnar species very difficult to identify and have no guesses about the IDs.

Re: ID for 4 spiny ones
My guesses:
1) & 2) Trichocererus hybrid
3) & 4) Pachycereus pringlei
1) & 2) Trichocererus hybrid
3) & 4) Pachycereus pringlei
Re: ID for 4 spiny ones
1) and 2) have quite different ribs. On 1) the ribs are sharp and narrow, while on 2) the ribs are wide and shallow. Seems to me that they are probably not the same genus.
Re: ID for 4 spiny ones
Thanks a lot for the suggestions and comments! I was also thinking that the numbers 1 and 2 might represent different genera because of the rib width and different spine density on the top. But any idea of the possible other genus? In CactiGuide, Trichocereus seemed to be included with Echinopsis with great number of species and variation though.

1, 2 Trichocereus/Helianthocereus, aff huascha/grandiflora ja poco (?) 3 Pachycereus pecten-aboriginum, 4 Pachycereus pringlei IMHO
