Re: Prairie Blooms 2020 - 22
Some fresh pics from a different location, last weekend.
If you ignore the cow manure you can spot more than 10 E. vivipara...

This is not a place you want to go barefoot.
Great pictures.

Are you thinking about the cow manure or the cacti? ( going barefoot) The first wouldn’t bother me but the spines... stepping on something like that much be very painful..greenknight wrote: ↑Sat Jul 02, 2022 9:23 am "If you ignore the cow manure you can spot more than 10 E. vivipara... "

I grew up on a farm, I wouldn't worry about stepping in the cow manure - except there might be more cacti under the cow manure.

Well, we usually have our shoes on going outdoors. Spines were ambushing us on the "parking lot" already...

Some not shown photos of that place and time:
Hidden pyramids?
Some first-time bloomers.
Can you spot seedlings on last 3 images? Click on for zoom in.
Have also some fresh photos from this June:
Prairie blooms 2024
Because of the massive bloom on June 9, I was able to see hundreds of Escobaria vivipara near Drumheller.
