What the hell is that??

Post by Arzberger »

HI all,

today I want to show you something really strange. This little cactus has grown from a portion of seeds of Astrophytum myriostigma cv. "Onzuka", but it is very different to the normal Onzukas. It is totally wooly, like little chicken!
I've grafted this little thing on Selenicereus, like many others, but I've never seen anything likte that!

Best regards

wow! could be a very popular whole new cultivar. Onzuka "Fuzzball". I'll look for it in catalogs in the future.

That is amazing! Some of the Astro hybrids I've seen are kind of fuzzy, but I've never seen anything like that! Does it have regular ribs under that fuzz or is it more like an asterias, round?

Ario cv Alex! Congratulations!

I could not feel something like ribs under the wool, but I think it may change, because it is still very small. I´ll show you soon more pictures of the progression.

Alex, that is really fantastic! I think you could catch a nice price for that over in Japan and they would give it a hi-tech name and soon it would be world wide!
