Man, I haven't posted here in a while! May 27th!
Sorry for not logging on the past few weeks! Been kind of busy and didn't have enough time to read all of the posts. I checked back every once in a while but did not log on or post anything. Sorry about that! But now I am back and WILL log on more often, I promise. Now of coarse I still took lots of pictures!

Lot's stuff to post so get ready!

My Obregonia Dengrii surprised me with flowers. 2 times actually! I didn't even see the buds underneath the wool!

This little pup I got from Tracey is growing a whole bunch of pups! I think it is going to turn out to be a giant clump someday! Thanks Tracey!

This is weird! Some ants decided to make an ant hill on top 2 of my plants! They don't seem to have damaged them, just made a hill on top of them. What do I do? They keep making it over and over again!

I put it out in full, direct sun trying to get it to open as far as it could. A neat pic of when I moved it in the late afternoon.

My garden is doing great! I can't remember if I posted pictures of it after I made it larger. :? But here the current picture of it.

Image

This flower on my Echinocereus Dasycanthus is still hanging on while all the others fell of months ago. I'm not sure what it is doing.

Image

To much sun?

Image

This echinocereus is growing!

Image

The Texas sage is really growing well and coming back after losing most of it's leaves and branches after the move from the backyard garden to this one.

Image

The echeveria in my gardens buds are FINALLY opening after a VERY long wait!

Image

Opuntias are growing fast! (More pics of my opuntias can be found in my opuntia thread)

I've not had this problem with ants before. When they are a nuisance I sprinkle the area around the plants with granular ant bait and wait. It usually takes care of the problem.

Nice Gymo. :D

whoa! lotsa Action Jackson! ;)

Garden looks great. If the other flowers on the E. daysacanthus all dropped off, this one should be fruit :) It'll turn red and split open when it's ready, but should still remain on the plant.

John the Dasycanthus may have a viable fruit. Is it fleshy/juicy? If the answer is yes you will have some seed. :)
To much sun?
The Sempervivum and Jovabaria are mountain plants found from Europe through Central Asia. They like more moisture than your cactus. They also appreciate moderately warm sunny days and cool nights. I have the same problem with them fading to pale green colors in the heat of summer. I find a little shade from the hottest part of the day helps them retain their natural color and appearance. In any event they recover when the temps start to cool down in the fall. 8)

Well, I wanted a fruit from the dasycanthus but figured I wouldn't get one since it was not pollinated to another dasycanthus. I'll go look at it now.

Thanks John for the ant idea.
Yeah I put the rock, that sticks up, right next to the semp for shade from the afternoon sun, but I never moved it as the sun moved. Maybe I should go do that.
