When I saw the topic I thought, what better plant to post than the unidentified Opuntia hybrid with the long white hair-like growth. I still do not know, if these are glochids or modified spines. I did plant one pad that had broken off a plant and it survived the winter near the house wall, after growing all summer.

Contest 34: Fur, Fuzz, Hair, Wool...
Here is my entry. I was looking today for a pic to take and this caught my eye. It is the etiolated end of my Copiapoa esmeraldana (ID uncertain). I didn't get it stopped in the fall fast enough and it kept going for a little while in the dark. A little bizzare I know, but it is fuzzy!
