The myriostigma on your photo is "Rokkotsu Khoyo Ranpo Gyoku".
It is still young but Kikko starts from rib top. Rib tops on your photo are smooth.

Rokkotsu starts from rib bottoms as shown on your photo.
Rokkotsu means costae.

Yes, and seems like they been doing great!

By the way, my first experiment with the cacti seeds going pretty well. Gymnocalycium mihanovichii variegated grow to the point where they've become visible because they were so tiny at first! Now I can even see some of them showing some colors.

I lost a lot of Lophophora seedlings, most of the L. williamsii var. fricii.
L. williamsii and L. williamsii var. texana doing better, but I had a really low sprouting rate of L. williamsii var. texana.
Anyway, those who survived doing great and have biggest roots of all other seedlings. I repotted them recently.

I also have a bunch of Astrophytum seedlings. 4th of March I sowed few mixes of different kinds of Astrophytums. Some of them should be variegated and I can see it already, some of them are superkabuto starshape. More then 50% didn't make it to these days, they were too pale and weren't able to grow a root.
This year I'm going to be more specific when buying Astrophytum seeds.

The funniest seedlings of all are Ariocarpus trigonus and ariocarpus bravoanus ssp. hintonii. Looking forward to get Pereskiopsis stocks to try grafting them. They seem to be the easiest to sprout and none of the Ariocarpus seedling died. Also, some of them have 120% sprouting rate

Hello everyone!
Winter in Cyprus is very cold and rainy this year. Even in the indoor greenhouse average temperature is about 17C (62,6F). I lost several Astrophytums to the rot already. But some of my cacti feel pretty good in these conditions! Three Mammillarias still in flowers now. I took first two pictures at the beginning of Winter and the last one was taken yesterday.

My joy has no limits today!
I was growing this Melocactus pachycanthus (presumably, I'm not sure about species) for 2 years from a size of a baseball. And today it finally happened! I noticed something weird on top of the cactus and realized that was cephalium!

I'm very pleased with the result of my first attempt of sowing seeds at the beginning of March'21.
All seedlings below are 10 months old. I picked the biggest ones to show you guys of course XD

Before 2021, until I found this forum, I thought that people graft cacti only if they are completely absent of green pigment or for decorative purposes. I didn't like the appearance of grafted cacti so I never planned doing it. But then I found Hanazono's thread and discovered a new meaning and purpose of grafting to accelerate growth and enhance some of the distinctive features of cacti, especially for the slow growing ones.
So this summer I found some Hylocereus undatus and Pereskiopsis spathulata stocks, and a dozens videos on YouTube in hope to learn how to graft seedlings. To my surprise it was very easy, so now I have quite a few grafted cacti.
The most successful in my opinion is this enormous seedling of Copiapoa Haseltoniana blue skin. I sowed it at the end of August 2021, so it's just 4 and a half months old and 4.5 cm (1,77 inches) in diameter

Those are some very healthy plants.

Have you got the space to let a Pereskiopsis do its own thing? They can be spectacular in flower.

Ah, really? I never consider them as a plant with it's own thing. I do have space, some of the Pereskiopsis plant are 60 cm (24.6 inch) long already. Can let a few of them just grow and bloom. Thank you for the thought!
