:hello2:

Hi Dovev! Israel is a great place to grow cacti! I understand your climate is very much like Southern California. (Or is it the other way around. :) )

Nice lophs you have. And that looks like a monster Turbinicarpus on the right there....

Hello Dovev,
welcome to this forum. I too live in a climate that is not too different from the one you have. I too grow cacti outdoors, but only those that can survive below freezing temperatures.
I do hope that you will enjoy your experiences with this forum.

What is the variegated plant in the tiny photo....can you upload it bigger?? It looks like an awesome A. myrio or ornatum from here (but I don't have my glasses on either!)

Oh, and hello!

I LOVE it. Only 5 years old. I have some 2 year old non-variegated....and they are still not even in their own pots as , well, they don't need them.

I do have a fairly short growing season, not enough light (my lot is totally wooded) and no greenhouse.

Sigh (and a little jealousy)

On the bright side, I don't have Hezbollah launching Katyusha's at my house.

But for an Astro like that....well, I'll have to weigh the pros and cons of each situation!!

Great plants. Your doing a better job than I ever can (double sigh)
