Shame the pictures NEVER turn out as good as you can see it in person, but still ok. Anyway, here they are under 40x with the scope....not sure how zoomed in I was with the cam, i was more worried about focusing.
PS. under the microscope there is VERY little depth in focus, as these were not pressed down....so its impossible to have a fully focused shot without hours of photoshoping many pics (not my thing)
enjoy
Ariocarpus retusus
Tip of one stigma lobe
cross section of the stigma where it branches
stigma with pollen on it.
all past the stigma, down the style into the ovary and here we go
the boys, filaments and anthers and a mess of pollen.
bottom lit of the anther
Turbinicarpus sp (see ID forum for pics of the plant i am thinking its Turbinicarpus schmiedickeanus, not sure though)
More ovules
just one
filaments, anthers and pollen.
anther when the pollen shakes off, looks a little smaller.

ya, i am amazed at how different plants look like under the lens....some rather bizarre things....makes them even more addicting. i am trying to get some good epidermis shots, but i am having technical difficulties working the dye.
