I see 3 in the first pic.

On the second, I'm going to guess there is something lurking on the grass underneath the left most dangling brown cones.
All Cacti are succulents, but not all succulents are Cacti

I see three insects in the first pic.
I see a little gray bird, a green snake and a small brown squirrl, in the second. :P

I agree with the 3 insects.
I see the bird, possibly the squirrel but i'm not seeing a green snake.

3 insects in the 1st pic.

It took me two days of looking at it, but I finally saw the bird sitting on the grassy stuff in the 2nd pic.
